PP 5134G -- please share your thoughts with me

5134G looks great in professional photos, but I cannot seem to find some good images on a wrist. On paper, 37mm and 10mm  thick should work, but somehow the visual seems a little on the "chubby" side. Somehow, I am still attracted to them. Only the earlier models with Breguet numerals. And only in WG. I would appreciate any comments or thoughts of the watch, especially from owners (past or present). Pics would be wonderful as well.

Thank you!

It is less gracious and charming than a 5110. A bit " chubby ", as you said.

Maybe because of the thicker bezel.... And the two pushers on the left side. ...

Definitely chubby

But somehow I kinda like it. I prefer the earlier G with applied Breguet numerals. I have a feeling they compensated for the smaller 215 caliber by making the bezel thicker. As for 5110, worldtimers are not aesthetically pleasing for me. At least at this ...

I can definitely see the appeal

But for someone stuck on home time most of the year, would be wasted on me. I am not much of a world traveler!

I have family +4

Could do the simple math, but this gives an excuse to have a... travel time ;-)

I was never a fan. But that's just me!

Most important is YOU! What do you think about it? I also was surprised this was a manual wind movement. As most people still prefer an automatic on a travel watch. I would highly recommend steering you to a 5110G, 5110P, or a 5130R or 5130P. I find the 5...

Just not a fan of worldtimers...

Dial is a bit too busy for my liking. I spent a little time with a friend's 5131p and while it was beautiful to look at, was just not for me. Re: 5134G, I quite like the idea of it. The aesthetic works for me. I prefer manual wind, given that I have a num...

The new Parmigiana has a similar third hand mechanism and you may want to consider that. The 5134 doesn’t get much love in the PP world (rightly or wrongly). I almost bought one last year but it felt a bit clunky when I looked at it. I prefer the Vacheron...

I saw the Parmi some time back..

...while nice, the dial again was just not for me. There's a certain appeal to the 5134 not getting much love. But... right now, its just a romantic notion. I have never seen one in the metal before and my imagination is poor!

It always look to me like an extended 5107...

And I much prefer the 5107 form, over the dual time function....

I'm with you on this one.

Won't even think twice ..

Can’t help with the G but here’s the P version. Far from chubby IMHO.

In fact I think that the case shape is supremely elegant. Don’t understand why this doesn’t get more love! Here shown on my 6.5” wrist…. ...

Thank you!

It looks fantastic on your wrist! Mine is 8.1" so I think it should sit okay there too. I prefer the all Breguet numerals and hands of the earlier G but your later P looks really good as well.

You’re welcome.

You can’t really go wrong whichever version you choose. They’re all very special.
